Wellinton Sepadi (Phaahle 'a Ngwato 'a Gafela 'a Mogale) Matlala is the first son of the late Mr. Mashung David (Ngwato 'a Gafela 'a Mogale) Matlala and Mrs. Mokgwatha Betty (Mosesadi 'a Phaahle 'a Gafela) Matlala of Dichoeung Community in Jane Furse. His parents are roots of Matlala clan which is well known as Bakone. That is the reason why he calls himself Mokone Wa Matlala without any doubt. His father is the third son of the late Mr. Mojabeng Piet (Gafela 'a Mogale) Matlala and the late Mrs. Mampe Mmagokone (Matladi) Matlala. His mother is the second daughter of the late Mr. Sepadi (Phaahle 'a Mogale) Matlala and the late Mrs. Maseje (Mahlako) Matlala. His parents are cousins to each other. To his comrades and other people he is known also as Taxman Matlala. His wife is Ngwakwane Cony Kgoete(Matlala), and they are blessed with one daughter, Bohlale Mosesadi Matlala and two sons, Tukisho Ngwato Matlala and Thuto Mphele Matlala. The slogan with regard to the names of the above mentioned children is "Batswadi ba bohlale ba itukisetsa thuto le baneng ba bona"
